May 2016: Qualified Teacher status at last!

Despite having taught for many years, Rosie has just completed a stimulating and gruelling 2-year teacher training course at UCA, the Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Arts Education. (PG Cert) This course has provided Rosie with many fresh ideas on ways to approach teaching more creatively as well as offering the opportunity to begin some research into the links between walking and creative thinking. (Watch this space for further developments on this reasearch) So all courses from here on will be injected a new enthusiasm toward pedagogy and techniques for applying it to teaching creative arts disciplines.

‘Make A Film And Then Watch It In An Afternoon’ @ Blank Studios
Rosie lead an afternoon workshop that involved participants planning, shooting and screening a short ‘one-take wonder’ film in a single afternoon. Held at Blank Studios as part of its May Festival House programme, ‘The Exchange’, the location and surrounding area was used as a do-it-yourself film studio and the emphasis was on experimentation, improvisation and a lot of fun being had by all.
